In addition to directing, Tim frequently speaks at events around the country. He has taught classes and made presentations at such institutions as the American Film Institute, Stanford, Harvard, Princeton, Cambridge University, and the Tepeyac Leadership Initiative. He has been a guest commentator on EWTN, Too Much Film School, and Criteria: the Catholic Film Podcast, among others.

Tim speaks on a range of topics touching filmmaking, family, and faith. Example titles include: Directing Animation; Stop Motion; Cinematography for Stop Motion (co-taught with Hana Kitasei); The Art of Film - or, Why Movies Are Like Chocolate Cake; Fostering Human Dignity Through Film; and Holiness in Ordinary Life.
